Lesson Introduction

Devote an entire website to your book. Include reviews, author information, blog posts, press kit, sample ebook files, updates, and more. If you have several books, you might want to have a single author website listing all your books.

Lesson Key Points

Do-it-yourself or pay to have a site designed.
Decide if you are creating an author website with all of your books (if the same audience) or a website for each of your books (if the audience is different for each book).
Choose an easy to remember domain name.
Your site should match your book cover.
Decide how much content in your book you will offer for free.
Link to your PR kit.
Add your book video to your website.
Provide updates or extra information to readers that they cannot get from your book.
Provide an "about the author" link and a contact form.
Add some element of interactivity to keep readers coming back!
Make it easy for readers to submit testimonials.
Have links to your social media pages.
Sell your book from your website or link to a place that sells it.
