About this lesson
This lesson defines the realistic role of ChatGPT in therapy, coaching, and adjacent helping professions. Learners will distinguish between administrative support, reflective thinking support, psychoeducation drafting, and clearly inappropriate uses such as diagnosis, crisis management, or unsupervised clinical decision-making.
The focus is professional judgment: ChatGPT can accelerate writing, planning, brainstorming, and client-facing communication, but it cannot replace ethical responsibility, clinical competence, informed consent, privacy safeguards, cultural humility, or human attunement.
