About this lesson

This lesson introduces the musculoskeletal system as an integrated network rather than a collection of separate bones and muscles. Learners examine how bones, joints, cartilage, ligaments, tendons, fascia, muscles, nerves, and blood supply cooperate to provide support, movement, protection, and adaptation.

By the end of the lesson, learners should be able to explain why posture, gait, lifting, injury, and rehabilitation require system-level thinking. The lesson establishes the foundation for later study of bone structure, joint mechanics, muscle physiology, regional anatomy, common injuries, and clinical reasoning.
