About this lesson
Most business plans fail because they are written from the founder’s point of view instead of the investor’s point of view. They explain the company at length, but they do not quickly answer the questions investors actually use to decide whether a plan deserves more attention.
In this lesson, Professor Bo Bennett explains why investors skim before they read, what causes them to stop, and how to design a plan that earns continued attention. The goal is not to make the plan shorter for its own sake, but to make every section useful, credible, and easy to evaluate.
